"Chelsea are blessed"-Cesc Fabregas

Former Chelsea midfielder and Spanish international Cesc Fabregas,has describe his former team to be "blessed" after the London side put on a super display in the second leg of the uefa champions league quarter finals against Madrid in Spain.

It was a hugely disappointing night in Madrid for Chelsea last night as they came so close to doing the almost impossible.

The blues almost crab the win, with goals coming from mason Mount , Antonio Rudiger and then a solo goal from Timo Werner.

And in the extra time of the game, French forward ,Karim Benzema header made the difference between the two side in Santiago Bernabeau.

We were 3-1 down from the first leg and went to Spain and absolutely played Real Madrid off the park for the majority of the game, going 3 goals up and being very close to going through.

Some bad Refereeing decisions, individual mistakes from us, and some missed chances, allowed Real Madrid back in the game to grab the two goals to see them scrape through into the semi-finals in the end. 

But Chelsea can be very proud, we deserved to win, we deserved to go through, and we were the much better team.

Former midfielder Cesc Fabregas was watching the game as he so often does, and he had some big praise for manager Thomas Tuchel.

 _"Whatever happens. ChelseaFC are blessed with Thomas Tuchel. What a manager."

The blues are now left with the FA cup title to crab, as this is the only trophy remaining for the London side to hunt, and they will be hoping for a win against crystal palace come Sunday at the Wembley stadium.

Chelsea missed the opportunity of securing a trophy in the month of match when the played against Liverpool in the caraboa cup finals each ended in the 11-10 Penalty shoot out in the favour of Liverpool.


Chelsea have won two trophies this season and will be hoping to make it three if the win the FA cup .
